The cases below are representative of our experience and the results we have achieved for our clients.  However, past performance is no guarantee of future results. Every case is different. The results obtained in your particular case depend heavily on the facts of your particular case. Similar results to those mentioned below may not be obtained in your case.

We represented the owner of a patent that involved fiber optic networks against one of the largest fiber optics companies in the nation.  Following the trial court’s Markman ruling in our favor on the meaning of the patent claims, we were able to negotiate and draft a multi-million dollar settlement for our client.  Other terms were provided in a confidential settlement agreement.

In a patent infringement action involving multiple suits in multiple states related to a process of cryogenically freezing matter, we were able to successfully combine all suits into multidistrict litigation for discovery, and, later obtained a jury verdict of no damages.

We successfully defended one of the largest beverage distributors in the nation against patent infringement claims in three states.  First, we were successful in having the patent infringement case dismissed for lack of personal jurisdiction.  After the plaintiff reasserted the claims in the proper forum, we were able to negotiate a creative settlement that provided no damages and the creation of an ongoing business relationship between the parties.  Other terms were provided in a confidential settlement agreement.

Our attorneys have successfully drafted and prosecuted a multitude of applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office that have resulted in the issuance of Patents.  We have drafted and prosecuted applications including, but not limited to, the following arts: software, telecommunications, wireless communications, and mechanical inventions.
