Dorman Bell is a business and technology focused law firm based in Dallas, Texas providing nationwide counsel on patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, licensing, and prosecution as well as general commercial litigation concerns. Dorman Bell is one of the only law firms in the nation with a dedicated section to defend organizations against software license audits from software publishers and their trade organizations, such as the Business Software Alliance and Software and Information Industry Association.

We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant.  Please read our main Careers page for more information on our firm.  Specifically, we are looking for a person whose responsibilities may include managing the initial meetings with clients both in person and on the telephone, calendaring/scheduling for attorneys, preparing and editing documents such as general correspondence and engagement letters, preparing and maintaining incoming and outgoing correspondence/packages, managing the file system, including maintaining information in the firm’s CRM system, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, and maintaining office supplies.  The person may also be responsible for assisting attorneys with the preparation of legal documents, assistance with pre-trial litigation matters, trial preparation, creating and maintaining company policies and procedures, and overseeing some marketing.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional verbal and writing skills, possess strong organizational skills, be professional in appearance and demeanor, and be dependable.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and QuickBooks is desired.
